if you examine the pictures closely (it’s easy on the thumbnails anyway) you can see that there’s a streak of shading in them, approximately 1/4 wide and toward the edge of the frame. i think this is a case of slow shutter curtains in the poor old zenit. on this page, [...]

the two pictures on top were taken with the macro converter fitted on what i think was the 105mm f2.4 super takumar lens. can’t remember, but judging by the depth of field here that would be my guess.
